The mission is "to act on issues that impact rural and urban forests and to promote forestry in Illinois".
The Goals are,
To help policy makers and government agencies to have a better understanding of forestry.
To help the public have a better understandiing of Forerstry.
To provide timely information about forestry issues and practices.
To provide an opportunity to network and share information about forestry.
To help partnering of forestry organizations.
To make available technical assistance for managing forestland and enhancing community forests.
To make available technical assistance for harvesting you timber.
To make availiable advice on finincial help to implement sustainable or "best management" forestry practices.
To make available advice adout maintaining trees in communities.
To help develop forestry-related business.
To help lower the cost of doing business in the forest industry.
